Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-45544 is a vulnerability in Nextcloud Tables affecting versions from 0.8.0 to before 1.0.4. It allows users with read-only permissions to access view filter criteria metadata, which should not be exposed. This exposure constitutes an information disclosure issue categorized under CWE-1230. The vulnerability has been fixed in Nextcloud versions 1.0.4 and 2.0.0.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability results in the exposure of view filter criteria metadata to users who only have read-only access. This could reveal sensitive information about how data is filtered or organized within Nextcloud Tables, potentially aiding an attacker in understanding or profiling the data environment. There is no indication of impact on data integrity or availability, and no known exploits in the wild have been reported.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade Nextcloud Tables to version 1.0.4 or later, including version 2.0.0, where this vulnerability has been patched. Since the vendor advisory confirms the issue is fixed in these versions, applying the official update is the recommended remediation. Patch status is confirmed by the version information in the advisory.
