Description

CVE-2026-45751 is a use-after-free vulnerability in Suricata, a network intrusion detection and prevention system. The flaw occurs in the inspection-buffer helper when a chained transform causes the backing buffer to be reallocated, leaving an inspection pointer referencing freed memory. This issue is triggered during specific network traffic processing and requires a particular, though not malicious, rule involving the chaining of the 'dotprefix' transform.
