A fix for this vulnerability has been implemented in the Linux kernel. Users should apply the official patches or update to fixed kernel versions to remediate this issue. Since this is not a cloud service, remediation requires updating the affected Linux kernel versions. No known exploits are reported in the wild.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's BPF subsystem causes incorrect address calculation for non-zero offsets in the instruction array map. The map_direct_value_addr() function improperly adds an offset to the resulting address, which is then added again by resolve_pseudo_ldimm64(), leading to an incorrect address resolution. This flaw has been fixed with additional selftests to verify the correction.
