phpMyFAQ versions before 4. 1. 2 have a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the search. twig template. The vulnerability arises because result. question and result. answerPreview are rendered using the raw filter, which disables autoescape protection. Attackers with FAQ editor privileges can inject HTML-entity-encoded payloads that bypass certain sanitization functions, leading to arbitrary JavaScript execution in the browsers of visitors, including administrators.
