Technical Analysis

The vulnerability identified as CVE-2026-50607 affects the Acer System Monitoring component bundled with NitroSense and PredatorSense. It involves a WebSocket service configured to bind to all network interfaces (CWE-668), which may unintentionally expose the service to network access beyond intended boundaries. This configuration flaw could allow unauthorized network access to the service. The CVSS 4.0 vector indicates network attack vector with low complexity and no privileges or user interaction required, but with low impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The affected versions are those less than or equal to 1.0.19.2. There is no vendor advisory or patch information provided, and no known exploitation in the wild has been reported.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability could allow unauthorized network access to the WebSocket service of Acer System Monitoring, potentially exposing it to unintended network entities. However, the impact is rated low (CVSS 2.7), indicating limited confidentiality, integrity, and availability consequences. There are no reports of active exploitation.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Since no official patch or workaround is provided, users should monitor Acer's advisories for updates. Network-level controls such as firewall rules restricting access to the affected service may help reduce exposure until a fix is available.
