Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-50986 describes a CSRF vulnerability in the PrestaShop module totadministrativemandate before version 1.8.1. The payment validation controller does not implement CSRF token protection, which enables an attacker to trick a user into confirming an order in awaiting status by exploiting a crafted link. This can lead to unauthorized order confirmations without user consent.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation allows an attacker to confirm orders that are awaiting validation, potentially leading to unauthorized transactions and manipulation of order states. The vulnerability impacts confidentiality, integrity, and availability as indicated by the CVSS vector (C:H/I:H/A:H).

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, users should consider implementing additional CSRF protections or disabling the vulnerable module if feasible.
