This vulnerability has been fixed in multiple Linux kernel commits. Users should update their Linux kernel to a version that includes these fixes. Patch status is confirmed by the presence of fixed commits. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the official fixes.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Ceph filesystem component caused a kernel BUG due to a stale blob size in the __ceph_build_xattrs_blob() function. This bug could be triggered by a race condition introduced by a commit that moved the required_blob_size computation, leading to a kernel crash. The issue has been fixed in several kernel commits.
