AI-suggested
A fix is available that adds proper bounds checking in the __tb_property_parse_dir() function of the Linux kernel thunderbolt driver. Users should update to a patched version of the linux-azure kernel that includes this fix. The affected versions are explicitly listed and users should upgrade to versions beyond these or those that include the fix.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's thunderbolt driver was fixed where improper bounds checking in the __tb_property_parse_dir() function could cause reading beyond the allocated property block when the root directory content length is near or exceeds the block size. This issue was resolved by adding a bounds check to prevent processing directories with content extending beyond the block.
