Technical Analysis
The vulnerability arises because the id_produto parameter submitted to web/html/matPat/restaurar_produto_desocultar.php is initially sanitized using intval(), but then overwritten by a second extract($_REQUEST) call that bypasses this sanitization. The unsanitized input is directly interpolated into SQL UPDATE statements affecting the produto, isaida, and ientrada tables. This improper neutralization of special elements in SQL commands (CWE-89) enables an authenticated attacker to perform SQL injection attacks. The flaw is fixed in WeGIA version 3.8.6.
Potential Impact
Successful exploitation allows an authenticated user to execute arbitrary SQL commands, leading to potential unauthorized disclosure of sensitive database records and unauthorized modification of institutional and inventory data. The vulnerability affects confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the affected system.
Mitigation Recommendations
Upgrade WeGIA to version 3.8.6 or later, where this SQL injection vulnerability has been fixed. No other mitigation is necessary as the official fix addresses the issue.
