Description

CVE-2026-57121 is an improper authorization vulnerability in MervinPraison's PraisonAI platform versions 0.1.4 up to but not including 0.1.5. It allows any workspace member to permanently delete critical resources such as projects, agents, and issues created by the workspace owner or other members without proper ownership or role checks. Technical Analysis

PraisonAI versions >=0.1.4 and <0.1.5 contain an authorization flaw (CWE-285) where workspace members can delete any resource within the workspace, including those owned by others, due to missing ownership or role validation on six DELETE endpoints. This allows a malicious or compromised member to irreversibly remove projects, agents, issues, labels, issue dependencies, and issue-label attachments. The issue is resolved in version 0.1.5.

Potential Impact

An attacker with a workspace member account can permanently delete all critical workspace content, including projects and issues, leading to total data loss and disruption of workspace operations. The vulnerability does not impact confidentiality but severely impacts integrity and availability.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade PraisonAI to version 0.1.5 or later, where the authorization checks have been properly implemented to restrict deletion actions based on ownership and roles. No other mitigations are indicated.
