Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: decolua
Product: 9router

Description

9Router versions prior to 0.5.2 contain an OS command injection vulnerability that allows a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the host system. This occurs by bypassing localhost-only route restrictions via the Host header and passing unvalidated arguments to child_process.spawn() through the MCP plugin interface. The vulnerability is fixed in version 0.5.2.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-62312 is an OS command injection vulnerability in decolua's 9Router product before version 0.5.2. An attacker with authentication can bypass localhost-only route protections by manipulating the Host header and supply unvalidated arguments to the MCP plugin system, which are passed directly to child_process.spawn(). This allows execution of arbitrary commands on the host operating system via the /api/mcp//sse endpoint. The issue is resolved in version 0.5.2.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation enables a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the host operating system, potentially leading to full system compromise with confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts as indicated by the CVSS score of 8.8 (high severity).

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade 9Router to version 0.5.2 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. No other official remediation or temporary fixes are documented. Patch status is confirmed fixed in 0.5.2.
