Description

CVE-2026-63450 is a vulnerability in Suricata prior to version 8.0.6 where the FTP parser improperly handles certain FTP commands. Specifically, sending a RETR or STOR command before PORT or PASV negotiation causes a fatal application-layer error that disables FTP parsing for the remainder of the TCP flow. This can allow later FTP commands to bypass parser-dependent rules and logging, potentially evading detection. The issue is fixed in Suricata version 8.0.6.
