Technical Analysis

Vendure, an open-source headless commerce platform, has a vulnerability (CVE-2026-63461) affecting versions from 1.0.0 up to but not including 3.6.5. The public Shop API's products, collections, and facets queries combine mandatory visibility guards with caller-supplied filters using a filterOperator parameter controlled by the caller. When the filterOperator is set to OR, the predicate can match hidden entities, bypassing the Product.enabled, Collection.isPrivate, or Facet.isPrivate guards. This allows an unauthenticated attacker to retrieve data on disabled products and private collections or facets. The vulnerability is classified as CWE-200 (Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor) and has a CVSS 3.1 base score of 5.3 (medium severity).

Potential Impact

An unauthenticated attacker can retrieve sensitive information about disabled products and private collections or facets that should be hidden. This exposure could lead to information disclosure but does not impact integrity or availability.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade Vendure to version 3.6.5 or later, where this issue is fixed. No other mitigation is required as the vulnerability is resolved by the official patch.
