An official fix is available and should be applied. The vulnerability has been resolved in updated Linux kernel versions. Users should update to a patched kernel version to mitigate this issue.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's iio adc nxp-sar-adc driver allowed a division by zero due to lack of validation on the sampling_frequency sysfs attribute. Writing zero or a negative value could trigger this fault, also causing an unsigned integer underflow. This issue has been fixed by adding validation checks to prevent invalid divisor values and underflow conditions.
