AI-suggested

The vulnerability has been fixed in the Linux kernel. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates that include this fix when available. Patch status is not explicitly confirmed in the input data; therefore, check the vendor or Linux kernel advisory for the current remediation guidance.

Description

A memory leak vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ethtool component related to Receive Side Scaling (RSS) was fixed. The issue caused allocated buffers for the indirection table and hash key to not be freed if the get_rxfh() function failed, leading to resource leakage in the kernel.
