What to do

AI-suggested

No explicit patch links or vendor advisory details are provided in the input. Since this is a Linux kernel vulnerability, users should monitor official Linux kernel releases and apply updates that address CVE-2026-64157 when available.

Description

A medium severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel netfs subsystem involves incorrect handling of partial invalidation of streaming-write folios. The flaw occurs when the invalidation region overlaps the front of a dirty write cached in a streaming write page, causing improper modification of the dirty region's offset. This issue has been fixed by correctly setting the dirty offset to the end of the invalidation region.
