Description
CVE-2026-64297 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's module decompression code where the return value of module_extend_max_pages() is not checked. This can lead to a kernel oops due to dereferencing a ZERO_SIZE_PTR when allocation fails. The issue has been fixed by adding the missing error check. The vulnerability affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to the fixed releases.
