AI-suggested

A patch is available and has been applied in Linux kernel versions 6.8.0-147.147, 6.8.0-1067.70, 7.0.0-1012.12~24.04.1, and other listed fixed versions. Users should update to these fixed kernel versions to remediate the issue. No additional mitigation actions are required beyond applying the official kernel updates.

Description

A reference count leak vulnerability was identified and fixed in the Linux kernel's NVMe RDMA target code. The flaw occurs in the nvmet_rdma_queue_connect() function, where a reference to a network device (ndev) is acquired but not properly released when the host queue backlog is exceeded, causing a resource leak. This issue has been resolved in multiple Linux kernel versions.
