What to do

AI-suggested

A fix has been implemented in the Linux kernel source to skip unset attributes in mpls_valid_fib_dump_req(), preventing the null pointer dereference. Users should apply the official kernel update containing this fix. No other mitigation steps are indicated or necessary.

Description

A null pointer dereference vulnerability exists in the Linux kernel's mpls_valid_fib_dump_req() function when built with CONFIG_INET=n. This occurs because the function accesses a netlink attribute without checking its presence, allowing an unprivileged user to trigger a kernel crash via RTM_GETROUTE messages for AF_MPLS. The issue has been fixed by skipping unset attributes as done in the related ip_valid_fib_dump_req() function.
