Until a fix is available, avoid connecting untrusted USB devices to systems running vulnerable Linux kernel versions.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's p54 wireless driver allows a malicious USB device to cause a buffer over-read by sending a truncated frame with a length field that matches the expected EEPROM slice size. This leads to reading beyond the allocated buffer, potentially leaking adjacent heap memory.
