A fix is available in the Linux kernel versions identified by the provided commit hashes. Users should update to these fixed versions to prevent the vulnerability. No additional mitigation is required once the system is updated.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's xfrm policy handling causes improper preallocation of inexact bins before reinserting policies during xfrm_hash_rebuild. This flaw leads to allocation failures under memory pressure, resulting in a poisoned node and a subsequent kernel crash (general protection fault). The issue is fixed by inverting the guard condition to ensure proper preallocation for affected policies, preventing allocation failures and crashes.
