Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-64943 is a CWE-532 vulnerability in Apache Answer where sensitive information, specifically full API keys, is inserted into application log files on every authenticated request. This exposure enables attackers with log access to recover and replay bearer tokens, potentially compromising authentication. The vulnerability affects Apache Answer versions up to and including 2.0.2 and is resolved in version 2.0.3.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows disclosure of active API keys through application logs, which can lead to unauthorized access if an attacker obtains log-read permissions. This compromises the confidentiality and integrity of authentication credentials, enabling replay attacks with bearer tokens.
