Description

A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the GIMP file-png plugin when processing specially crafted Animated Portable Network Graphics (APNG) images containing an oversized tRNS chunk. Exploitation can cause the plugin to crash, resulting in a denial of service (DoS). The main GIMP application remains unaffected as plugins run in separate processes.
