VulnerabilityCVE-2026-67435cvecve-2026-67435cwe-200cwe-918
Published: 07/29/2026 (07/29/2026, 19:39:19 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: Linuxfabrik
Product: monitoring-plugins

Description

linuxfabrik-lib provides Python modules for database access, caching, shell execution, and API integrations. Prior to version 6.0.0, lib.url.fetch() followed cross-origin redirects while forwarding caller-supplied credential headers other than Authorization and Cookie, allowing a malicious redirect-capable server to receive headers such as X-Auth-Token from authenticated monitoring requests. This issue is fixed in version 6.0.0.

Technical Analysis

The linuxfabrik monitoring-plugins library includes Python modules for various integrations. Before version 6.0.0, the lib.url.fetch() method followed cross-origin redirects while forwarding credential headers other than Authorization and Cookie. This behavior could allow a malicious server capable of redirecting requests to receive sensitive headers like X-Auth-Token from authenticated monitoring requests, leading to exposure of sensitive information. The vulnerability is identified as CWE-200 (Exposure of Sensitive Information) and CWE-918 (Server-Side Request Forgery). The issue is fixed in version 6.0.0.

Potential Impact

Sensitive authentication headers such as X-Auth-Token could be exposed to unauthorized actors if a malicious redirect-capable server is involved. This could lead to unauthorized access or information disclosure. The CVSS 4.0 base score is 6.0 (medium severity), reflecting network attack vector, low attack complexity, partial privileges required, and high confidentiality impact.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade linuxfabrik monitoring-plugins to version 6.0.0 or later, where the issue is fixed. Patch status is confirmed by the vendor stating the fix is included in version 6.0.0. No other mitigation is indicated.
