Description
A use-after-free vulnerability was identified and fixed in the Linux kernel's Multipath TCP (MPTCP) userspace path manager component. The flaw occurs in the function mptcp_pm_userspace_get_local_id(), where an address entry is accessed after its lock is released, allowing a race condition that can lead to use-after-free. This race condition was confirmed by Kernel Address Sanitizer (KASAN) reports and reproduced under stress testing. The issue was resolved by copying the id while holding the lock to prevent access to freed memory.
