Description

CTI-Transmute versions up to 1.4.0 contain a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in the administrative user deletion endpoint. The /account/delete/<id> endpoint accepts HTTP GET requests to delete user accounts, allowing an attacker to trick an authenticated administrator into unintentionally deleting users by visiting a malicious link. Exploitation requires the administrator to be logged in and have user deletion permissions. This can lead to unauthorized user deletions and potential disruption of administration if critical accounts are removed. The vulnerability is addressed by restricting the endpoint to HTTP POST and requiring a CSRF token in the deletion form.
