A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. Users should update to fixed versions to prevent deadlocks caused by this bug. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official fix.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's dm-integrity subsystem could cause a deadlock if a bio (block I/O) operation is out of limits. The issue arises because the code exits after locking a range without unlocking it, leading to resource leakage and deadlock. This bug has been fixed by moving the limit check earlier to prevent resource leaks on exit.
