A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's dm-integrity module could cause a deadlock when a bio (block I/O) is out of limits. The issue occurs because the code exits after a limit check failure without unlocking a previously locked range, leading to resource leakage and deadlock. This bug has been fixed by moving the limit check earlier to prevent resource leaks on exit.
