A patch is available and should be applied to affected linux-azure kernel versions. The vendor advisory confirms that this vulnerability has been fixed. Users should update to a fixed kernel version to remediate this issue.
Description
A 32-bit integer overflow vulnerability in the Linux kernel's net: qrtr subsystem was fixed. The flaw occurs in the qrtr_endpoint_post() function where a size value from the network can cause an integer overflow on 32-bit systems, leading to a buffer overflow and kernel crash. This issue does not affect 64-bit systems. The vulnerability has been addressed by rejecting sizes that do not fit the buffer before alignment. Multiple specific linux-azure kernel versions are affected.
