AI-suggested
A patch is available and has been released in Linux kernel versions 5.15.0-1117.124~20.04.1 and later. Users should update to these fixed versions or later to remediate the issue. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official fix.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's net: dsa: sja1105 driver could cause a division by zero error due to improper rounding of the PTP perout pin duration. The issue arises when very small period values convert to zero clock ticks, leading to a potential system crash. This has been fixed by rounding zero durations up to one tick to prevent passing zero to the future_base_time() function.
