A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. The vendor advisory confirms the issue has been resolved. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official fix.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's xprtrdma component allowed remote peers to drain the client's posted Receive queue by sending malformed replies that are shorter than expected or carry unrecognized RPC/RDMA versions. This caused the transport to stall once the Receive queue emptied, potentially leading to denial of service. The issue was fixed by adjusting the reposting logic to handle malformed replies correctly and maintain the Receive queue properly.
