In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xprtrdma: Repost Receive buffers for malformed replies rpcrdma_wc_receive()… (CVE-2026-72464)CVE-2026-72464 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's xprtrdma component related to handling malformed RPC/RDMA replies has been resolved. The flaw allowed a remote peer to drain the client's posted Receive queue by sending malformed replies that consume Receive buffers without replenishing them, causing the transport to stall once the queue is empty. The issue was fixed by ensuring that malformed reply exits properly repost Receive buffers based on the most recent credit grant, preventing the depletion of posted Receives and avoiding transport stalls.
