AI-suggested

A fix for this vulnerability is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel source code as indicated by multiple commit hashes. Users and administrators should update their Linux kernel to a version including these fixes to prevent the memory leak. No additional mitigation steps are specified or required.

Description

A memory leak vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Radeon DRM driver was fixed. The issue occurs in the radeon_ring_restore() function when radeon_ring_lock() fails, causing the allocated ring backup buffer not to be freed. This leads to cumulative kernel memory exhaustion during repeated GPU resets that fail at the lock stage.
