A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users should update to a fixed kernel version containing the patches identified by the provided commit hashes. No additional mitigation is required once the system is updated.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's can: peak_usb driver allows a heap out-of-bounds read due to improper bounds checking of a USB channel index derived from device payload data. This can cause a kernel panic in IRQ context. The issue is fixed by adding bounds checks before accessing the array.
