A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel source code as indicated by the fixed commit versions. Users should update to a Linux kernel version that includes these fixes to resolve the memory leak issue. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the official fix.
Description
CVE-2026-74623 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's atlantic network driver where stranded TX buffers are not properly freed during ring deinitialization. This causes a silent memory leak on interface shutdown under TX/XDP_TX load, which can escalate to leaking the page pool and its pages, resulting in stalled pool shutdown warnings.
