A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions to resolve this issue. The vendor advisory confirms that this vulnerability has been fixed. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions as provided by their Linux distribution.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter bridge nftables component caused memory leaks on non-IP network paths by failing to release connection tracking template references properly. This issue could lead to memory exhaustion on affected hosts. The flaw has been resolved with a patch that resets the skb conntrack state before marking frames as untracked on non-IP paths, preventing the memory leak.
