A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users and administrators should update to the fixed kernel versions identified by the provided commit hashes to remediate this issue.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's virtual terminal (vt) subsystem allowed unauthorized processes to change the keyboard meta mode on non-controlling consoles due to a missing permission check in the KDSKBMETA ioctl handler. This flaw was fixed by adding the appropriate permission check to prevent unauthorized access.
