Applying these patches or upgrading to a kernel version containing them will remediate the issue.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's USB gadget function f_ncm involves the use of a signed integer for the ndp_index variable, which should be unsigned. This mismatch allows a malicious host to supply a large offset that causes an integer overflow, resulting in a negative ndp_index value. Because this negative value is compared against unsigned bounds, it bypasses sanity checks and leads to an out-of-bounds read when accessing the NDP block. The issue is fixed by changing ndp_index to an unsigned int to ensure consistent unsigned comparisons.
