What to do

AI-suggested

Until a fix is available, avoid processing untrusted indexed-color PNG images with non-gray palettes using the affected functions in libjpeg-turbo 3.2.0.

Description

libjpeg-turbo version 3.2.0 contains an integer division-by-zero vulnerability in its PNG loader. This flaw occurs when processing a valid indexed-color PNG image with a non-gray palette using the functions tj3LoadImage12() or tj3LoadImage16() with the default pixel format. The vulnerability triggers a division-by-zero in the alloc_sarray() function, causing a SIGFPE signal and resulting in a denial of service condition.
