Description

CVE-2026-79699 is a medium severity vulnerability in the containers/storage library used by Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2. It involves improper link resolution before file access, where a crafted tar archive with a malicious whiteout header can cause the extraction destination directory to be replaced by an arbitrary file.
