Description

CVE-2026-80739 is a deadlock vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mlx5e network driver related to flow handling in traffic control (TC). The issue arises when a flow deletion function unconditionally acquires a device communication lock, which can cause a recursive locking deadlock if the flow is a peer flow. The vulnerability has been fixed by introducing a PEER flag to conditionally avoid acquiring the lock for peer flows.
