Description

CVE-2026-97409 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's nvme-fc driver affecting version 5.10. It involves improper handling of request cancellation in the io target before it is fully initialized, leading to potential kernel warnings and error recovery issues. The flaw occurs when the nvme-fc controller in CONNECTING state triggers aborts on inflight requests without confirming initialization of the io tagset, causing locking correctness validator warnings and possible instability.
