What to do
AI-suggested
A fix for this vulnerability has been implemented in the Linux kernel by disabling iocc when the dma-coherent property is not set. Users and administrators should update to the fixed kernel version once available to mitigate this issue.
Description
CVE-2025-37977 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's SCSI UFS driver for Exynos platforms. It occurs when the dma-coherent property is not set, causing descriptors to be non-cacheable while iocc shareability bits remain enabled. This mismatch can lead to random cache-related stability issues in UFS devices. The vulnerability has been resolved by disabling iocc if the dma-coherent property is not set, preventing incompatible configurations.
