Description

CVE-2026-82672 is a medium severity vulnerability in the elixir-mint mint HTTP client library. It involves inconsistent interpretation of HTTP/1 chunked response sizes, allowing a malicious HTTP/1 server to desynchronize a strict intermediary and the Mint client on a pooled connection. This desynchronization can lead to response-queue poisoning for subsequent requests sharing the connection. The issue arises because Mint accepts chunk size lines with non-hexadecimal characters beyond the initial hex digits, which strict intermediaries reject, causing disagreement on chunk boundaries and response termination.
