Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-85350 is an improper authentication vulnerability (CWE-287) in the UpsellWP WordPress plugin before version 2.2.10. The plugin fails to verify that products added to the cart through a Frequently Bought Together campaign actually belong to that campaign. As a result, unauthenticated users can exploit this weakness to purchase arbitrary products at the campaign's discounted price.

Potential Impact

Unauthenticated attackers can bypass intended purchase restrictions and obtain products at discounted prices without authorization. This can lead to financial loss for merchants using the affected plugin versions.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade the UpsellWP plugin to version 2.2.10 or later, where this authentication issue is fixed. No other mitigation guidance is provided. Patch status is confirmed by the version range indicating the vulnerability is fixed in 2.2.10.
