What to do

AI-suggested

Until a fix is available, avoid exposing the vulnerable endpoint to untrusted users or implement additional access controls to restrict usage. Review and correct the parameter validation logic to ensure the URL parameter used for fetching is properly validated against the whitelist.

Description

kkFileView versions 4.2.0 and later contain a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the /getCorsFile endpoint. The TrustHostFilter intended to whitelist trusted hosts validates a different URL parameter than the one actually fetched by the controller, allowing attackers to bypass the whitelist by supplying a decoy URL for validation and a real target URL for fetching. This results in the server fetching and returning the response from an attacker-controlled target URL.
