AI-suggested
A fix for this vulnerability has been implemented in the Linux kernel. Users should apply the official kernel updates that address this issue. Since this is a kernel-level vulnerability, updating to a patched kernel version is the recommended remediation. No additional mitigations are specified.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's svcrdma component allowed Read lists with cumulative segment lengths exceeding the page budget to cause a NULL pointer dereference during DMA mapping. This occurs because the runtime guard can be bypassed when a segment exactly fills the page array, leading to an out-of-bounds access. The issue has been resolved by validating and rejecting messages that would overflow the page budget at decode time.
