AI-suggested
A patch is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users should update to a fixed kernel version containing the commits identified by the provided fixed version hashes. Since this is a kernel-level issue, applying the official kernel update is the recommended remediation. No additional mitigations are indicated.
Description
A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in the Linux kernel's s390 vfio-ap driver was fixed. The issue occurs during queue probe when a sysfs attribute group is created before the queue's driver data is set, allowing a concurrent read to dereference a NULL pointer. The fix involves acquiring update locks before creating the sysfs group to prevent concurrent access to uninitialized data.
