A fix is available for this vulnerability. Users should update to patched versions of the Linux kernel as listed in the affected versions. Since this is a kernel-level issue, applying the official kernel updates from the vendor or distribution is the recommended remediation.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's RDMA/erdma subsystem was resolved that involved improper handling of queue pair (QP) references during asynchronous event (AE) and connection management (CM) processing. The flaw allowed use or reference of QPs outside the protection of the xarray lock, potentially leading to use-after-free conditions when QP resources were freed prematurely. This could result in high impact including confidentiality, integrity, and availability compromise. The issue affects specific Linux kernel versions used in various Ubuntu releases.
