Description

CVE-2026-91147 is a denial of service vulnerability in the cockpit-ws component of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. It occurs when the WebService.UrlRoot is configured and a request is made to the exact URL-root prefix without a trailing slash, causing cockpit-ws to terminate unexpectedly and the Cockpit web service to become unavailable. Exploitation requires a non-default UrlRoot configuration and an unauthenticated request that reaches cockpit-ws without front-end normalization or redirection, making it less easily exploitable in typical deployments.
